Ok, I finished a pair of socks today during my lunch time. They were done with knitpicks yarn. Wish I could show you a picture but haven't accomplished that part of the blogging yet. Now, as for my new yarn---I bought some Paton's SWS to make a booga bag. Just love the color anyway, I came home from work last night and found that I was missing one skein. I started looking around and don't you know I found it under the kitchen table where my darling cat, Sedona, had it all unravled. Now I was some mad but, my darling hubby helped me wind it up and it is now tucked away where the cat can't find it. I am also thinking tomorrow I will start a pair of socks with my new Memories yarn. I was thinking of trying the New England pattern from my new book, Knitting on the Road. Of course tomorrow is Sunday and it is also my day to head out to bingo. One day I might actually win at bingo. I will keep you posted.
Oh, and I have made mention that my grandaughter is coming for a visit next week. Hubby and I decided it would be fun to take her to a magic show. We hurried over to the Orlean's Casino where Rick Thomas is playing. We told the girl we need four tickets to the show on Thurs night. We were thrilled that we could get four seats in the second row. We stopped at my folks on our way home with tickets in hand. Told the folks all about our tickets---thank God I looked at the tickets as they were for the following Thurs night (the 10th). We went right back and told them what happened and we were told that he was not playing that week he was taking it off so they gave them to us for the next week. That was not good for us as she will be gone by then. Long story short, we turned two tickets in and kept two as we would like to see him. On our way out my hubby decided to play a little nickel machine and he turned his big $5.00 into $100.00 so that was a nice surprise.
Ok, off to catch up on my tivo from the week. No knitting tonight.

Hey, good for Paul! What's he going to buy you??
That's funny about your cat, mine doesn't even look at my yarn. Weird
Our older cat doesn't bother with anything, just lays around all day. the little one is so playful and into everything. She is always after the big one who turns around and bats her one.
We are going to put the money away for when Sarah and Russ come out. They will be here Tues night.
You have to watch out for those four legged family members, some of them have a real love for the wool. Can't wait until you master the picture posting so we can see what you are knitting. Thank you for the compliment on the baby socks, I make them up as I go but if you let me know where to send it I will write one down for you. I couldn't find an email addy on your site.
Monica, thanks for the incouragement. I am hoping my son in law will know how to do pictures when he comes to visit next week. My email address is:
ptmcam2004@hotmail.com. I would love to have an idea how to do the baby socks.
As for my little four legged friend I think she is realizing you don't mess with my yarn. She is so nosy and gets into everything.
Chicken anyone?
Very funny Gayle----no thanks we will pass on the chicken.
Woo-hoo! Turning $5.00 into $100! My four legged family members LOVE my wool yarn (much to my dismay). :)
Have a wonderful weekend of knitting!
