DUBLIN BAY SOCKS

Ok, I am not sure just what the problem is here but I have ripped these socks out at least three times. 72 sts. are just too many. The socks look like they would fit a very large person. I am going to try to cut the sts down to maybe 60. Did anyone else have this problem?
On my company front: they are leaving tonight. Yesterday we went to Mandalay bay to see the shark reef. Our morning was spent putting in a new hot water heater. The night before my son in law went to take a shower and there was NO hot water. Needless to say we were not happy and it cut into our "fun" money. We had planned to go to Oatman AZ but that was out with having to spend part of the day replacing the heater. Today we are going to go do last minute things: like gift shops. Me, I would love to hit a yarn store but I know they wouldn't be interested so I will wait until next week or so. I can't believe vacation is over and back to work tomorrow, altho I am tempted to call them and ask if I could take one more day just to recuperate. Ok, time for moving on to the day.

oh that stinks about your hot water heater!
Try casting on less stitches, see if that helps. I have the same problem if I cast on anything more than 50,it looks like it would fit a giant!

I am so sorry to hear about your water heater, and not being able to hit any yarn shops. I always need a day to recuperate too, vacations are exhausting.
