I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that the New Year will be happy and healthy for all.
On Sunday we took my dad to the hospital. He had been told a few days before that he had pneumonia and Sunday morning he had a hard time breathing so off we sent him. After some tests they told us he did indeed have pneumonia and also congestive heart failure. Now at 87 I wasn't shocked to hear this but the man went into a tailspin. Anyway, he spent the night and we took him home Christmas eve around 3pm. We had a very nice Christmas eve at my folks opening gifts, visiting with friends and relatives and of course eating more then we should have done....Christmas day hubby had to work until 3pm so we planned dinner at the folks instead of having dad go out. As it turned out dad was just not up to dinner and stayed in bed all day. He went to the doctor for a follow-up on Wednesday and last night he looked wonderful
He looked more like himself. Actually watching a football game.
I received a beautiful watch from hubby and of course some quilting supplies. I am still waiting for my harmony needles to come available on knitpics and last night I started my socks with the austerman step. I am really liking this yarn. Funny, I think I feel that way about all the yarns.
Happy knitting and a very Happy New Year to all my knitting friends.

Happy New Year, Carol! I do pray that your dad is comfortable and gains strength. You have been a blessing to me and I pray for a wonderful new year ahead!
Happy New Year, hope that everything is ok.
Oh Carol, so sorry to hear that your father got so sick around that time. Yay, he's 87 yrs old and sitting around enjoying a football game. Gotta love that! Tell him I think he's one tough cookine and and give him a big hug from me!
I think I know how you feel about knitting with certain yarns. Right now, Socks That Rock yarn is my favorite socks yarn. Ok, I have a few others. heeeheee
I mean't to say one tough cookie. My spelling is so bad.
xoxo
Happy New Year! I hope your Dad is feeling better. What color Austermann are you using? I have two pairs myself and yarn to make another pair. I've also used it twice for gift socks.
